The Classic GMC motorhome went into production in 1973 and was produced until 1978. During that time 12,921 units were built. GM manufactured both 23 foot and 26 foot models. Only 1645 of the 23 foot models were produced.
The above picture is one of
the nicest looking coaches at the Mt. Hood 2000 Rally.
At the time it belonged to Sam and Denny Johnson.
There is an active community of GMC owners and admirers who continue to support the surviving coaches with replacement parts and upgrades both mechanical and cosmetic.
